As seen in Chester today. Although this was never really a phone box. A cash machine trying to fit into the olde worlde feel of Chester town centre. I can say no more.
Again seen in the Holden Gallery at MMU. The chairs had some help from the fire extinguisher to be the safety barrier. (see post for 101 uses for a plastic chair) Not sure how safe this is though?
Chairs seem to take on the use of emergency barriers more often than I thought.... Seen in the Holden Gallery at MMU, protecting us all from the scaffolding works.
AN AUSTRALIAN POSTBOX. A contribution from Michael Leigh.. stills taken from his Australian road video made in August 2010. As in America, most houses have post boxes on the street to save the postman time. We saw them made out of all sorts of objects and in many shapes, including these two made from milkchurns.
Seen Bute Castle in Cardiff during the Easter holiday. There was a thick walled corridor which had been used as a air raid shelter during the war. They had re-constructed the kitchen area and the Jam jar seems to have been the recepticle of choice for candles during the war. How many can you count in the top photo?
We stopped off at the Acton Scott farm on the way to Cardiff over Easter. There I saw this nice use of a piece of heavy clay pipe. It is being used as a weight to automatically shut the gate to the Bailiff's Garden.
